Does anyone know how long it takes to adopt relatives out of the foster care system? The social worker contacted us about the issue, so We have completed the necessary paper work, the background check-- which we know will be cleared as we just had one done recently for a volunteer position me and my husband attend to. Then we need to do a homestudy. We do have our own biological children in the home. However, is this process quick or does it take years to complete? There seems to be some difficulties in the foste home at hand should I say something to the social worker or should I just wait so the adoption is finalized.

Am I ready? LOL is an understatement. I have been ready for my own baby for years now. Unfortunately, when I was very young I was diagnosed with a terrible disease that left me unable to have a child of my own. I came to terms with my diagnosis and decided to go the adoption route.
