Have a Positive Influence on Your Toddler's Behavior

Read tips on how to positively reinforce your child's good behavior.
Not all true.
It must be political correctness that makes the author write in the first sentence of the article that rewards and punishments, bribes and threats don't work at this age. I agree that bribes and threats never work at any age to produce children of any substance, and one year olds have no sense of time sufficient to deal with the verbal concept of a threat. Punishing is to be avoided, and rewards work best when used inconsistently, once the association is established. There's plenty of scientific research to prove that rewarding bad behavior is just stupid, and consistent parenting is the best parenting. So, thus said, all parents have to know what they want from their children, never reward what is bad, and sometimes reward what is good. The closer to never and sometimes you can get, the better the chance your children will always be "brave, truthful, and unselfish," and become real like Pinochio did.
