Breaking Divorce News to Kids

When a couple decide to call it quits, they need to come together on how and what they're going to tell the children.
Re: Breaking Divorce News to Kids
Very well put Jill. When I went through my divorce, it was really hard on my kids. Then they were 6 and 2. Very young. They didn't quite understand why daddy wasn't around. My 6 year old is very intuitive and she heard all the arguments and all the fights. Which I absolutely hated. My kids are much more content now that we have peace in our home. Talk to your kids based on their age. They like to know they are included "somewhat". My sister is going through her divorce now through http://www.divorce4her.com/testimonies.html. I wish I had that online divorce option back when I did my divorce, lol. Thanks! Sandy

Re: Breaking Divorce News to Kids
It was a really hard decision to make in how and what to tell our kids when we made the final decision to divorce. We have always been a family oriented family. We spoke to our kids to let them know that we both love them and that has and never will change, but mom and dad aren't happy with each other anymore. We thought that might be a little harsh but it really worked out. Our kids were old enough to realize mom and dad are happier living separately. Just sense ur childrens' needs and wants. Jill
