Involuntary Job Changes

Here is some advice for you, if you have suddenly been forced to change jobs.
Re: Involuntary Job Changes
I couldn't have said it better myself. The hardest pill to swallow indeed. I had to leave my job to care for my son during his illness. It was hard but seeing my child in so much pain without me by his side was worst. I left my job and had been unemployed for over 7 months. NO ONE would hire me. I don't have a degree or any special skills that set me apart from the rest. Eventually I began searching at home and found my niche. I did go back out briefly but now I am back to the at home work. I've applied everywhere and got a reply from document-do-it-yourself-service!! Upcoming interview, whoo hooo!! Thanks to you on this board for opening my eyes. Sandy

Re: Involuntary Job Changes
Yes yes this is so true. I lost my at home job a few years ago and it really pulled my family to the ground. My husband had gotten hurt at work and was out of a job and disability benefits was enough to cover or mortgage muchless all the other bills. We almost lost our house. With the help of family, we were able to keep our heads barely above water. It's still difficult as I am still searching for additional income. Thanks for the hope. Lesley

Financial strain after job loss.....heartbreakingly difficult
Losing your job is one of the hardest pills to swallow. Especially when you are providing for your family from the comfort of your home. It can happen anywhere, outdoors, indoors etc... I have learned to not put all my eggs in one basket. When my company at home started downsizing, I was one to go. It was very hard on my family as we had just bought a brand new home AND a new car. It's taking us months to catch back up and we are sure feeling the burn. Make sure to search out several jobs as no job is guaranteed for a lifetime. Maddy
