When was this article written? 1979? In the US, most hospitals had gone to Labor/Deliver/Recover rooms by the late 1980's. All but the most rural of hospitals used LDR and LDRP rooms by the late 1990's. Have you people not had children in the past 2 decades? Visited friends/family that have given birth? Do you not watch those baby stories on TLC or Discovery? Given the profoundly inaccurate info given on Labor and Delivery on this website, I would hesitate to use your source for any information! Please pull yourself out of the 1970's!!!! And also, if you find a hospital in the US that still uses all 4 rooms for a delivery, PLEASE email me right away....they just don't exist anymore!
