Getting Kids to Clean Their Rooms

A bit of mutual cooperation can motivate your child to get that room clean!
Getting Kids to Clean Their Rooms
I am also extremely disappointed in the reference to ignoring pornography found in a child's room. This causes me to think that the author does not know as much about raising a child as I would have hoped. For those who know pornography understand that it can easily become an addiction that is more difficult to kick than heroin. It is a precursor to many thoughts and behaviors that are destructive to themselves and often times others. It distorts the reality of a meaningful, loving, honorable sexual relationship. It degrades women and themselves. It can hurt them, their families, their future families and I would do everything I could to protect them from that kind of harm. The average age of exposure is 8 years old!!! Protect our future men.

I think it is very inappropriate for a family oriented website having spoken of teaching values in the process of teaching chores,to condone the "hiding of Baywatch beauties and worse." Any child over 12 should be able to clean his room on his own, any child under 12 should NEVER have been exposed to that kind of idea, and those over 12 should not receive the impression from any adult, expecially one claiming to be family values oriented, that any kind of pornography is acceptable for them to be viewing. I appreciate a lot of the information I have found while searching for help with teaching my kids responsibility, but I was disappointed to have found this attitude portrayed in your article.
