As many families we are going through tough times, and so we all have a chore (yes, including my husband) I made out our own Chore Chart, I had a small bulletin board and I divided it into four sections, one for each one of us, and I made the kids part extra special: Top half for the kiddos and bottom half for us.
I typed in MS Word the chores that I wanted everyone to do, then I printed them out, cut them, glue them to a piece of cardboard (thick construction paper works just as good), and then I used staples to place them in each name.
Then I had the kids decorate each one of their corner, and I also left some space to put stickers for every task completed.
For every seven stickers they get a prize, but it can not be a toy, I give them options for their prize, and for every time my husband completes his task I let him buy his favorite not-so-healthy-full-of-sugar cereal LOL!!
Hope this helps, our financial situation is very complicated and I have to come with ideas to help us create things for the kids.
