Psychological Development During Pregnancy

Learn about the various psychological stages that both parents go through during a pregancy.
Very good article
As an expectant mom who is just finishing her master's degree in a human servcies field, I found this article to be very relevant and helpful in addressing my own ambivalence to my pregnancy. I would definitely recommend it to other expectant moms riding the emotional rollercoaster. I agreed with the majority of it, except perhaps for the part about first-trimester symptoms (morning sickness, etc). being related to unconscious ambivalent feelings. Those physical changes can happen to anyone, regardless of how you feel about having a baby! Also, if women could cause direct negative physical outcomes to a pregnancy by having ambivalent feelings, there would be far fewer people in this world and the abortion debate would turn into a campaign for "the eradication of impure thoughts"! Not sure you're excited to be having a baby right now? This article helps explain why that's a normal part of our development as people and as moms. Thanks for posting this -- it was a good read.
