Do African-American Girls Reach Puberty Earlier?

Find answers to questions about the early onset of puberty in African-American girls.
Body Odor vs. chemicals in food
My daughter is 7, is mixed (1/2 caucasion 1/2 african american) and has had underarm body order since she was 6 months old. This is extremely rare and until recently did not show any other signs of "early puberty." She now has pubic hair and very strong body odor. However, in my years of trying to understand this I have done TONES of my own research, so allow me to comment on the last statement made by Shari Nethersol, M.D., "I have not read anything to suggest that body odor is caused by chemicals in food." In my research ( and feel free to do your own, don't take my word for it) it is a fact that all the hormones (not chemicals) injected into our food is what is one of the leading factors to early puberty. "We" inject our cows with hormones in order to produce more milk quicker, we inject our crops so they will produce bigger and quicker etc... it is all about meeting demand and meeting it quickly. So it is very wise for your doctor to advice you to put your children on organic foods. Unfortunately it isn't financially practical for most of us. I know I can't afford organic foods. But maybe just purchase a select few. For example, if you frequently purchase broccoli as one of your staple fresh veggies, consider buying organic broccoli instead. And milk, get organic milk instead. They will always be more expensive, but they will always be healthier too. But like I said, do your own research, see what you find.
