As for the previous poster . . . you have to understand that not every teenage girl has access to her parents. And by that I mean, Mommy & Daddy are both working and by the time they come home, there are meals to be cooked, homework to be checked, showers, baths, chores, and what do you know? It's 10pm and way past bed time. Who has time to parent these days and then we cry foul when a daughter turns to others for information she should be getting from her parents. HELLO.
Unless we as parents and a society are willing to actually take the time to parent our children, they will go elsewhere to get their information be it right or wrong. And since kids spend most of their time w/friends, friends it will be.
Instead of going to the Mall on Sunday or out to eat, stay home, have a day where you sit together as a family and talk about the things that need to be discussed.
Finances - Chores - School - Growing up -
staying morally clean - what to do after high school, are we on track with that, just whatever subject needs to be discussed.
Again, no one is asking for parents to be perfect but our kids need to know we are accessible to them. Making money is great and I highly recommend it and it's one of the reasons why I work from home. I'm available to my kids when they need me and if anyone thinks working from home is easy - I work harder than someone who goes to a J.O.B. everyday where someone else controls my time for 10 hours of my day. There is a sense of stability in our home because our children know if there is an emergency, or they become ill, or whatever, I'm available to them and I don't have to ask someone else's permission "Uh, can I please leave, I have a sick child". Try that in corporate America.
this is bulls*it. these people have no clue what theyre talking about. just stop trying to act like youre helping kids and parents, all youre doing is making it worse. this is a horrible site, its worthless. none of this bs is even true. f*ck this. i wish this site would be shutdown.
