I agree with the answer wholeheartedly.
What I do not agree with is the assessment you have that Goth = Drugs and other illegal behaviors.
Goth began in music and art as an alternative form of expression to cope with societal pressures and depression. Yes, there are some individuals within the lifestyle who partake in illegal activities. There are also Wall Street Financiers who do the same.
Lumping everyone from one societal category into one behavioral category (She's Goth!! She must be High!!!) is neither healthy, nor mature, and is irresponsible for ANY parent to pursue.
Educate BEFORE you assume.
As long as your daughter is creating healthy living habits (maintaining her personal grooming, keeping her grades decent, attending to her responsibilities) and you maintain YOUR approachability as a parent by being open, willing to listen, and non-judgmental, you will be able to keep your child home, healthy, safe, and listening to what you have to say.
