I found a very good web site. For a tiny fee I was able to download a very practical, useful book on Getting Great Grades. Check this out: www.nogginpower2.com.

I find that my child does her homework, in her room, on her desk, without the televison on or the radio. Her ipod must stay down stairs, and although she does not like this, she is getting straight A's. For the homework part, I find that it is easier to take one subject at a time, and a 5 minute break in between subjects helps a lot.

So what if you are doing all of this and they are still not getting the grades! I have done and my husband has done all of this for his 14 year old but the grades not good. He doesn't have a learning disability, he just doesn't care! How can we get him to care that this is the most important job he has right now and he has to do it just like we go to work everyday, regardless of whether we want to or not, it is a fact of life. He doesn't care even though he does homework, turns it in, he's still getting poor grades.

The homework for teens tips are great. My daughter enjoys doing her homework whilst sprawled across the living room floor, listening to music or the telly.I have repeatedly told her to work at the expensive antique wooden desk in her bedroom.Quietly. Unforortunately she says she concentrates more when she has a busy enviroment around her! typical teens eh?!

Has your teenager considered using a Digital Smartpen? A Digital Smartpen is an excellent study tool for teenagers who are easily distracted in classes, take poor notes and have trouble finding them later. Smartpens streamline searching and organizing notes for exams, study and research papers.
Use a Livescribe Smartpen you to capture every thought of the teacher. Jot down subject, topic, assignment, assignment date, and due date for later searching while the pen records each word.
Store your notes on the Smart Pen or upload to computer. Search and Replay your notes by tapping on on a word like subject or topic.
Remember record a class and Never Miss a Thought

One son had ADHD, attended a magnet school and that his academically gifted brother had ate and dealt with high expectations and a very full schedule. A shift to a regular but top notch local high school was a winning choice. With a digital smartpen, he could have recorded a class andNever Missed a Thought
