Great advice! I wish I had sought this information before my eldest hit her teen years. We have made so many mistakes in fostering responsibility that we are now trying to do so with an out of control 17 yr old (dropped school, steals, bad crowd and boyfriend, won't turn up to work so loses jobs, drugs and blames every one else). Please take this information seriously - we now are for our younger kids and definitely our eldest. I have learned a lot.
