When Your Job and Motherhood Don't Mix

Learn how to make the transition to a new career after becoming a new mother.
Re: When Your Job and Motherhood Don't Mix
Wow, if I could be so lucky, lol. If I knew what I know now, my venture into working at home would have moved a whole lot smoother. I left my outside job and was without another job at home for several months. It was something out of my control because I didn't WANT to leave my job, I HAD to. My step son had fallen ill and he has no one to care for him. His mom and my late husband were no longer with us. I was all he had. It's gotten a lot better now, our lives are settled and I've started working at home again. I've even applied to document-do-it-yourself-service.com hoping for an interview. GL All. Sandy

Yep, very similar story here. I did the same and propose to my boss to move my job home. Problem was, I was a teller at a local bank, lol. I didn't expect to do banking from home but just some sort of paperwork or data entry type work for the same company. My boss kinda brushed it off and never gave me a straight answer. Luckily I knew of someone I had did office work for and proposed me working at home to them. I work p/t and looking for something else to do. I've applied at the jobs link you provided. Can't wait for a response. Lesley

My decision was easy...I moved my job home.
I admit it, lol I wanted and got the best of both worlds. When I had my daughter, I didn't want to stop working but I felt like staying at home with her was my calling. I proposed to my boss working at home and he quickly approved. He knew I was a hard worker and had 100% faith in me. I am now a head associate in my company and still working at home. If your present outdoor job won't let you move your work home, it's ok, there are several at home jobs out there. Persistence is Key in at home success! Maddy
