really helpul tips on adjusting to daycare
Our little boys, 27 months and 16 months, are having a really hard time adjusting to daycare, after being home with a full-time nanny the past year. They've been acting out, the 16 month screaming for his pacifier and chewing on it constantly (we used to let him have it only in his crib), the 27 month tossing and turning and crying through the night (he used to sleep straight through the night 100% of the time). Both biting. Not eating. Going from smiles to cries in a split second without a trigger. Having 5 messy diapers in a day--or none in 3 days. The daycare teachers have seen it all, assure us all is typical, and are very empathetic and supportive. However, we hadn't received the solid ideas this article presents. So thanks, we'll try them out.
