You cannot always give into exactly what they want for dinner especially if it is not healthy. They will not starve if they dont get exactly what they want and will eventually learn to eat something more healthy.

As long as the child is eating healthy, it should not matter how often they eat the same food. Its better than them eating the same junk food day after day!

I agree that healthy snacks are important for children. Some children are such poor eaters that the nutrition from a healthy snack would be better than a child not eating anything.

I think you never should force a child to eat food that he or she doesn't want to eat. It should be their choice.

I thought that if a child have a snack before a meal that it would ruin a child's appetite. I guess it's all in how much you let them eat.

I found the info on juice interesting as we give the kids juice at least three times a week. I do include with it some type of cracker.

I was surprised that snacks will not ruin a childs appetite. Some of our parents do not want their child to have snacks because they say it ruins their dinner.
