This is a really insightful article. When my daughter was a freshman, though, we realized that we needed help motivating her and getting her organized. We ended up hiring an independent college counselor. We selected International College Counselors. We've been very happy with them (my daughter is now a sophmore). There are other companies around that do similar things - well worth it!
