Barbara-I just found this site looking for some guidance on my son being in a combination 3/4 class or 4/5 class. (He's a rising 4th grader and has the option of staying with a great teacher for a second year.) As I read your bio, it was interesting to note that my undergraduate degree in psychology is also from Wake, and I currently teach exceptional children. Small world!
