If I asked you to spend half an hour every night folding pieces of paper in half just to get another piece of paper with a letter on it, would you do it?
If the work is too easy, why would he do it? I know a bunch of smart kids who don't do their homework because they don't see the point, they already know the work. He will do much better in school if he is challenged and motivated.
