The article didn't address why females are taking the drug besides for studying purposes. People like the side affect of decreased appetite and weight loss. Because of the media portraying skinny girls as more popular and accepted, it is no wonder that with the availability of the drug, more females are using it, whether precribed or not. I know officials might think the answer is to regulate and madating the schools to comply with any legislative mandates, however, getting to the real reason of use, especially among females, would be the first step to educate and promote health among our student population.
