Comments on:Parents Pitching in at SchoolLearn what can you do to increase parent involvement in the schools.

There is no reason why schools should have parents be involved in "teaching" or even helping out.
I spend so much time having to deal with my son's school. I never volunteered any time there. He gets class assignments that he gets to take home and that's when I realize how much the teacher and the school let go. (Before you even think it...it's not this one teacher or this one school. IT IS ALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS) I start noticing how my son doesn't have anything written the correct way all because doing it right isn't being enforced.
There is no reason why parents should be volunteering at the school. They can help their children with homework and keep instilling in their minds the importance of learning but work to be done at the school is for school officials not parents.
