Language Arts in Third Grade

This article describes what third graders will learn in their language arts class.

A Digital Smartpen is an excellent study tool for helping elementary school students with language arts. Keeping a portfolio of writing would be easy as the pen can record oral and written work, transfer notes to a computer and retrieve them by date, subject or other keyword. The pen can also record interactive flash cards for practicing vocabulary. Parents can record audio on sound stickers that they can stick to each state on a map to say the name of the state, industry, etc.. An innovative use of sound stickers would be to create a talking book by placing a sound sticker on each page of a story book to read to a child or read more slowly while the child reads too.
